A nice rolling and winding gravel road through forest and farmers fields on the edge of the Eltenberg and Dutch-German border. The road is roughed up and sometimes loose or even sandy gravel, but I'd say it's ridable for road racers (without fear).

Good gravel path towards the German-Dutch border from Emmerich, also with the racer. This is the last part of the more paved, wooded passage between Emmerich and Elten: a nice alternative to the boring Bundesstrasse that runs parallel to the route. Once back on the paved path (Stokkumerstraße) you can go right to Stokkum and 's Heerenberg or left to Elten.

Road cycling

The gravel road connects Rietbroek with the Hoynckallee - the back of the Elterberg. The condition of the road varies a lot form season to season since it is being used by the local farmer. Therefore it can be bumpy and muddy but also fast and dusty, all depending on the weather. The first section from the Rietbroek side is hard packed gravel but when you've crossed the house the road will be get a bit more sandy.
