    Hiking

In the climbing garden on the Isar high bank of Buchenhain (municipality of Baierbrunn), ice-age gravel on the edge of the Isar valley is exposed. At least three ballast bodies lying one on top of the other can be distinguished in terms of their degree of weathering and solidification. They are interpreted as meltwater gravel from different ice ages. An information board explains the shifts. You are no longer allowed to climb here, information can be found by Googling Geopark Baierbrunn.
