The faces often represent all of Angkor. Very nice temple, but the given tours are much too long with more than one hour.

Next to Angkor Wat, the Bayon is the best known and most impressive temple complex in Angkor - famous above all for its towers with meter-high faces carved from stone.The temple, long forgotten, was completely overgrown by jungle in the 15th century and was uncovered 400 years later by European archaeologists. The big towers with the faces are very impressive.
