Hiking Highlight
The Cliffs of Moher are not only the most famous cliffs in Ireland, but also the most visited attraction in the country. Admittedly, during the day, when tourists from all over the world flood the visitor center, a visit is not particularly fun. My tip: come here early in the morning or late in the evening! As long as the visitor center is closed, the coaches and tourist crowds stay away and you have the cliffs almost all to yourself. For example, the first bus (No. 350) leaves Doolin before 8 a.m.: cliffsofmoher.ie.

At the south end there is a smaller private parking lot from which you can easily start the hike towards Hag's Head to the cliffs.
The main season should be avoided, this year the cliffs on some days probably already be blocked.

Probably the most famous attraction in Ireland (except for the Ring of Kerry) and therefore overrun accordingly. Those who are not entitled to a "visitor center" or paved paths can find something comparable on the coasts of the surrounding towns and islands. At least as impressive and mostly free.

We walked from Doolin on foot the cliff path (about 8 km) and back with the paddy bus, per adult 6 euros.

These rocks are simply gigantic, the paths are often dangerous on the edge.
In midsummer, the paths should only be accessible in one direction.

Absolutely impressive. Highly recommend checking out the cliffs if you're nearby. From just a quick look to a long hike, everything is possible here. It's worth it either way.

It is a great experience from all sides, whoever wants to have it quieter should walk from left to visitor center. There is hardly anyone on the way.
You just have to continue the road, past the visit center

You should already have seen the cliffs. It is recommended to avoid the streams of visitors and to start the hike from the south.

You just have to experience the Cliffs of Moher. If the Ring of Kerry is too busy, it's a good idea to drive the Ring of Beara. Wundervoll❤

Always worth a trip - in rainy weather more mystical, in the sun absolutely impressive!

After all the lonely hours that I had driven through a grandiose nature in wind, rain and fog, the gigantic parking lot seemed like a foreign planet to me at first.
I didn't even want to imagine the crowds you would meet here in summer.
But now, in November, this parking lot was almost empty and I was able to experience this beautiful place almost alone.
The fog immersed the Cliffs of Moher in an almost mystical atmosphere and while hiking, everything appeared out of nowhere and left a lot of room for the imagination as to what it might be.

The car parked in Doolin (Fisher Street), then the first shuttle bus to Kilconnel and then hiked back to Doolin. It was wonderful. At half it was then very full, but left quickly from the snack car to. Highly Recommended.

A hike over the cliffs is part of every trip to Ireland

From the parking lot, via the visitor center on easy-to-walk paths up to O’Brien’s Tower.
From here you have a very good overview. From the parking lot, via the visitor center on easy walking paths up to O'Brien's Tower.

An absolute must on an Ireland tour. There are various parking spaces along the hiking route that are free of charge. If you don't mind walking a few steps, you can save on parking fees in the main car park.

I recommend parking all the way to the south.. there isn't that much going on here and you don't just have to dodge it..
You can also get very close to the edge

On closer inspection, however, all the gnomes, goblins and other mythical creatures turned into medieval towers and spectacular rock formations or the remains of old stone walls.
