Unfortunately, the cemetery that used to be here was moved out of the village.

Using the remains of a previous building, of which nothing is known, the church was built between 1867 and 1869 with field and brick. The foundation stone was laid on June 19, 1867. The nave is rectangular and has a gable roof. On the long sides (north and south) it has four large, pointed-arched windows, which are lead-stained glass. On the east side, the sacral building has a very large pointed arch window and a stepped gable, which is equipped with panels. The church has a retracted square west tower that has sound openings on all sides. Two cast steel bells hang in the tower and were cast in Bochum in 1923. The tower has a slanted pointed helmet. The tower is completed by a ball and a cross.

A few months after the topping-out ceremony (on June 15, 1869), the church was inaugurated on November 24 of the same year. It is still an architectural gem of the village. Immediately after the inauguration of the church, the chronicle of the circle included read: “The whole building is a masterpiece of grace and beauty. Externally, it is the tower and the gable on the east side of the church that give a magnificent view ... The architectural style of the whole building is carried out in strictly (neo) Gothic form in all individual parts. "
