Tips
The Schweppermannsburg (also called Burg Pfaffenhofen) is a beautiful ruined castle in Kastl-Pfaffenhofen. The outer bailey is freely accessible at all times, the main bailey with the keep is accessible on different days. Since October 24, 2007, the castle has been owned by the chairman of the Amberg section of the German Alpine Club. It is possible to rent the castle for special occasions. The castle festival of the DAV takes place here every year.
