Tips
It is the last nursery of the Great Horseshoe Bat in all of Germany. Since its discovery in Hohenburg in Lauterach Valley in 1992, it has been strictly protected so that the highly endangered bats survive. The establishment of an information center at the bat house on the market square in Hohenburg is intended to raise public awareness of this highly threatened species.
