The Wetterkoglerhaus is located at the summit of the Hochwechsel, where the alpine pastures are called Schwaigen. Accessible via many hiking trails (e.g. the alpannonia long-distance hiking trail) or via a toll road, it is the starting point and destination of numerous tourists. So you are rarely alone at the Hochwechsel. But that doesn't matter: the view and pastries make up for it. ;-)

The house is closed in winter. A winter room is available.

The Wetterkoglerhaus at the summit of Hochwechsel rewards hikers with its excellent cuisine and incomparable panorama - from Lower Austria, Styria and Burgenland to Slovenia and Hungary.
