One bizarre rock formation follows the next in the Lüerdissen cliffs. No wonder the area is so popular with rock climbers. The Ith-Hils-Weg runs above the cliffs on the ridge, just below the upper cliff path and finally below the rocks the lower cliff path - if you want to explore the area extensively, take some time and do a little round here.

Please note that some of the rock heads are closed. Stepping on these cliffs is therefore not permitted for reasons of nature conservation. The closures are usually signposted. Please stay on the paths and only use designated stairs between the cliffs in order to preserve the area sustainably and prevent rock erosion.

You can marvel at wonderful field formations, my highlight the camel's head, and watch climbers doing sports on tours of different difficulty.

THE climbing spot in northern Germany outside of the Okertal/Harz and accordingly overcrowded. If it's full (haha, actually ALWAYS) you might have to go south (Scharfoldendorfer cliffs or Holzener cliffs).
