The view cannot be compared to that of a mountain peak, but it is very good for Munich standards! On sunny days you can easily see the mountains and sit on one of the benches for a little refreshment. So the 20 meters in altitude are worth it. 😉

During the Second World War, a large bunker with anti-aircraft guns was built here, but was not demolished after the end of the war due to its massive construction. Instead, the bunker was covered in 1970 with the excavated material from the McGraw Trench, which covers the end of a Salzburg-Munich section of the Federal Motorway 8, which connects the A 995 to the Middle Ring. The embankment created the Mugl, which is now a popular viewing mountain. A display board listing the mountains helps identify the numerous Alpine peaks visible from here.
