The large ski jump (also Herzyniaschanze) at Glockenberg in Altenau was opened in 1965. However, the ski jump was only used until 1968, but parts of the concrete inrun and the green-white tower (for judges and press) are still standing below the ski jump.
The Altenau ski jump was actually the largest in Northern Germany until 1977!
Today there isn't a single one.
