Avenue of Change

A former mine railway line is the starting point for the new avenue of change. A bike path showing the change of the Ruhr area.

From the former Ewald coal mine over the site of the former Mine & Iron Mine and the Hassel Coking Plant. The avenue of change stands for technological innovation, new energies and climate protection. This is where the Ruhr area can be experienced as a pioneer of change.

It rolls quite well here, the asphalt is perfect, the avenue lives up to its name and it always goes slightly uphill or downhill (so 1-2%). A good way to get around the Ruhr area and encounter as little traffic as possible. After storms, however, sometimes one or the other tree may have fallen over.

... maybe because it rolls well, is very informative and simply overwhelmingly beautiful ?!
