This refuge is something different. Not an example of the usual square and hexagonal models that are so often found in the Siebengebirge. This one has a paved floor, stone pillars and a 360 degree view. Unfortunately it is a bit off the main path, on the Rheinsteig very close to the Schallenberg (310 meters). Or maybe it's fortunate, because the only bank there is often still free, even on nice days!
