Bindeballe Købmandsgaard

A quaint shop with lots of historical things to discover.
A part is only to be admired, a part can also be purchased, as in earlier times.

The shop was opened by Jeppe Kristensen in 1897 right next to the new train station. He was convinced that where a train stops, a community will be created.
In 1957 the train line was shut down, but the grocery store still existed. When Maja and Reinholdt Jensen took over Købmandsgården in 1973, they began renovating the property. At the same time, they were also looking for old shop fittings so that the shop looks like it did when it opened.
Today the "independent institution Bindeballe Købmandsgård" runs the shop. Their statutes ensure that the collection is preserved for posterity.
