Kurzfeld is a farmstead in Hückeswagen in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the Cologne administrative district in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany).Kurzfeld is located in western Hückeswagen on the border with Wermelskirchen near Scheideweg.Other neighboring towns are Strucksfeld, Maisdörpe, Stoote, Dreibäumen, Dörpfelderhöhe and Dörpfeld. The town can be reached via a spur road from the L101 country road between Scheideweg and Dreibäumen.One of the two source streams of the Strucksfelder Bach, a tributary of the Kleine Dhünn stream, rises in the town.The town was first mentioned in church accounts in 1484. Spelling of the first mention: Kuytzfelde/Kutzhove.In the 18th century the town belonged to the Bergisches Amt Bornefeld-Hückeswagen. In 1815/16, 27 residents lived in the town. In 1832, Kurzfeld belonged to the Great Honschaft, which was part of the Hückeswagen outer citizenship within the Hückeswagen mayoralty. The place, which was categorized as a hamlet according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district, had four residential houses and eight agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 32 residents lived in the town, three of the Catholic faith and 29 of the Protestant faith.The community lexicon for the Rhineland province lists four residential houses with 43 residents for 1885. At that time, the town belonged to the rural community of Neuhückeswagen within the Lennep district.
