The works for the construction of the Termine pumping station began in 1920 in an area that had already been the subject of the first reclamation attempts by G. Romiati. At the time of the inauguration, which took place in 1922 on the occasion of the first Veneto regional reclamation congress, the plant housed 3 vertical-axis centrifuges with superimposed electric motors (this solution was adopted for the first time in this structure). In 1924 the plant was integrated with a fourth group and began to operate in symbiosis with the Torre di Fine pumping station.
