Church of Santa Eufemia of Pietrapazza

Here you can find a very good fountain. Not controlled but drinkable.

The nucleus of Pietrapazza rises in the most upstream part of the homonymous branch of the Bidente, and consisted of the church, the rectory, the cemetery and two houses, one of which collapsed following a landslide.

The name seems to derive from the dialectal pret paz (crazy priest), even if the reasons that gave rise to this toponym are not known.

Already in 1595 the Church of S. Eufemia had a certain importance for the valley, it will be demolished and rebuilt due to an overflow of the river in 1690, it was then rebuilt a second time in 1937 by the parish priest and the inhabitants of the people of Pietrapazza.
