Beautiful unpaved sand road through the wet nature reserve Empe and Tondense Heide. Although free cycling is not allowed in this nature reserve of Natuurmonumenten, the Mestweg and Lage Steenweg seem to be exceptions due to overarching traffic rules on these old road surfaces. All side paths such as the boardwalks are clearly forbidden for cyclists.

Great long and beautiful piece of unpaved by beautiful piece of nature. In very humid or mulled conditions, parts are not recommended for 28mm or thinner. Some parts are technical to drive and require attention to keep

Nice unpaved piece! Cycled on racing bike with 25mm tires. Segment was sometimes technical, but fine to do on your racing bike.
