Every child here knows the legend about the witch beeches. The group of trees in the Hohe Mark, of which unfortunately only a small remnant has been preserved today, consists of several beeches that, in contrast to the trees in the area, have grown together in a bizarre way. Were supernatural powers really at work here? Did witches hold their mysterious meetings here? No one can say for sure. 💫

The crippled shape of the witch beech trees looks very special.

Unfortunately, the witch beech is no longer very attractive. Together with the information, however, it is still interesting and well suited as a stopover. A bench is available.
