A very nice hike goes around the reservoir. Nice variety with very good chances of sighting wild monkeys and monitor lizards. Include the HSBC treetop walk in your hike! Take plenty of water with you!

Lots of muddy areas even on a dry day, but easily circumvented on the pathways. Avoid during wet weather.

A section of the walking pathway laid with planks by the reservoir’s edge is closed off for renovation till end 2018. The jungle trail is all clear though.

They even have a well defined walkway at certain points right beside the golf course now so you don’t need to cut through.

If you’re continuing on towards Bukit Timah, it will involve some sections along the road so expect some traffic from construction vehicles.
