The ferry across the Lužická Nisa is a self-service bridge transporter from wooden cabins (gondola bridge) on the border of the towns of Chrastava and Liberec, near the settlement of Kolonka in the Chrastava part of Andělská Hora, below the Hamrštejn castle, in the immediate vicinity of the parallel running railway bridge. It connects the settlement of the Kolonka power plant with the train station Machnín hrad of line 089, it connects tourist routes and destinations on both sides of the river, [1] [2] [3] it is followed by a blue hiking trail. [4] The facility itself is also intended as a tourist attraction.[4] It is said to be the first and only ferry in the Czech Republic. [3][5] It was built in October 2010 to replace the metal footbridge[6] that was destroyed during the flash flood of August 7, 2010, which included 4 bridges and 7 footbridges[1] on Jeřice, Lužická Nisa and Vítkovský destroyed Potok in Chrastava.
