The Kobelkreuz stands on the 528 m high Kobel in the Steppach district of the municipality of Neusäß near Augsburg. It is an 18-meter-high steel lattice cross with copper cladding, which was consecrated on August 2, 1931, and was then the highest cross in Bavaria outside the mountains.
