The St. Ignatius Church (Loyola St. Ignatius Parish Church) is located immediately next to the Bálint Balassa Museum. This ecclesiastical museum houses many historical exhibits.
The starting point of the museum's core collection is formed by the antiquities and coin collections of the Benedictine High School in Esztergom registered from the 1860s, or the collections of Bishop Nándor Knauz and other collectors (Rezső Rényi, Lajos Némethy, Ferenc Brenner, Ferenc Einzinger, Elemér Reviczky, etc.). The local museum association was founded in 1875 by Jákó Ferenczy, the Benedictine director.
