The Quitmannsturm is an observation tower on the Kohlberg in Neuenrade. He was founded in 1893 by the sons of the Neuenrader teacher Carl Friedrich Quitmann who emigrated to England. The construction was not without problems. Even before the planned inauguration in 1893 destroyed a winter storm the tower. The work started from scratch. [1] The 14 meter high tower was finally built by Krupp Brüninghaus GmbH at an altitude of 514 meters above sea level. In 1986 he was renewed by the city Neuenrade.
