Here the "White Stone of Eggenburg" was broken, which for many centuries was the source of the wealth of Eggenburg.

The quarry can be seen from above, where a small stone terrace is laid out on the street side. You can also walk down a meadow path on the right and walk around the quarry and take a close look at the exhibits and information boards.

The open-air museum and the stonemasonry are places of documentation about the Zogelsdorfer limestone, the quarries, its products, its processing, its economic, cultural and art-historical significance. The stonemason house can be found in the center of Zogelsdorf.

A small playground is waiting for the children in front of the quarry.
