From the hiking trail, about 50 meters down the mountain, you will find a beautiful rock arch. On the side, steps carved into the rock lead to a cave that is open to the valley. Very impressive!
I am not aware of any Stone Age finds here. It is not mentioned in the museum in Blaubeuren either.
There is another grotto below the castle. About 100 to 200 meters from here (as of July 2020: closed).
You can NOT see the castle from this point.

A very nice, interesting cave.
No idea if allowed but great Platzerl to stay.
