The Fuelbecke is basically a "two-valley dam", it separates the valleys of the Fuelbecke and Riethahner Bach watercourses at this point with a wall. The dam therefore has two arms, which are commonly called "Lüdenscheider Arm" (the western arm fed by the Riethahn stream) and "Rosmarter Arm" (eastern valley, Fuelbecke).
