Location: Elztal, Neckar-Odenwald-Kreis, Karlsruhe District, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
The entire Elztal is characterized by many watercourses and springs, all of which collect in the Neckar. As a result, the region was predestined to receive a stone circle as part of the pilgrimage route "Quellenank im Odenwald", which does not honor a single spring as before, but is generally connected with thanks to the element of water and in its shape ties in with the archaic, powerful tradition of our ancestors .
In July 2011, eight stone enthusiasts met under the project management of Eva-Gesine Wegner to sculpt together on site, free to choose their individual motif on the subject of water.
The forerunner is a “circle of thanks to the water” in Sedrun / Graubünden in Switzerland at the foot of the Rhine origin.
