This comparatively short section is characterized by the following: "This stage, which leads through the 8,200-hectare nature reserve of Königsforst and Wahner Heide, is rich in forests. From the former mining town of Bensberg with its baroque palace complex, the trail leads to Monte Troodelöh, the highest mountain in Cologne's urban area. From there, the trail leads to Rösrath-Forsbach."
