The path along the Schlegeisspeicher (1,782 meters) is not only a popular excursion destination that can be reached by public transport, but also the most leisurely and comfortable part of the entire Berliner Höhenweg. The Berliner Höhenweg was a rather easy hike up to this point, but the second, more alpine and much more strenuous half begins here.

If you take the bus to the Schlegeis reservoir, we recommend the ascent to the Olperer Hütte as a day tour, where not only the best cuisine is offered, but also the best view.
