The Scheidwarte is a round tower about 8 m high near Volkmarsen.
Watchtowers were used by their builders to keep an eye out for approaching enemy armies and to warn the nearby villages.
The entrance is about 3-4 m high - the tower can only be viewed from the outside, however.
