The gallows is located on the Neustädter Galgenberg. The last execution in Neustadt took place on July 17, 1812. Two members of the Hölzerlipps gang were judged: Christian Haag, called “the fat Bu” and Caspar Mündörfer, called “Bürstenkasper” or “the dinne Bu”. The two were sentenced to death by the judicial office in Michelstadt for street robbery. From here you also have a beautiful view of Breuberg Castle.
