The lower and largest of the three reservoirs in the Greenfield valley Dove Stone Reservoir was completed in 1966. The water is used to supply drinking water to the surrounding area.
The lakeside path is a popular walking trail and can easily be combined with a loop of the other reservoirs for a longer day.
