A permissive right of way around the Gorhambury Estate. From the Hemel Hempstead end the surface is a bit broken so would needs to be taken slow on a road bike. Most of the road however is well surfaced and mostly traffic free. There are some old ruins and sometimes highland cattle in the fields. As you come down the hill towards the St Albans end and the Roman Theatre there are great views of the city and abbey.
