It is not so much the spectacular altitude that characterizes this spot.
The incredible 'silence' of nature and the fairytale character of the immediate surroundings make this summit - which one does not notice - a great place.
If a druid or wizard jumped out of the bush, it would not surprise you here!

If you want to climb the Top-of-Germany 16-Summits, you can't get past the Dollberg. After all, as part of this challenge, it is important to climb the highest elevation of all 16 federal states and the Dollberg is the goal in Saarland.
Depending on the route, the tour can vary between easy and strenuous, the summit itself is unspectacularly located in the middle of the forest, but thankfully it is marked with a sign so that you don't have to constantly look at the map to see whether you are already there. It is worthwhile to plan more time for the hike, as there are some sights here, such as the ring wall, the Celtic village or the dam including the planetary path can be built in.
