In the middle of the southern heights of Wuppertal is a particularly artistic site: the Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden. The English sculptor redesigned this 15-hectare park in 2006 artfully. Since then, his own sculptures (19 pieces) and works by other artists have been exhibited here. Sometimes organic, sometimes conspicuous, the sculptures integrate themselves into nature. Another highlight of Parkes is the "Villa Waldfrieden". The memorial house was built in 1945 in the style of organic architecture. Today you can visit the villa as part of special tours.OPENING HOURS

Beautiful sculpture park in pure nature. Extremely challenging for wheelchair users and only possible with a strong companion or (better) motorized, as it is sometimes very steep and with coarse gravel passages. Entrance for wheelchairs at the gate to the right of the entrance pavilion, where tickets are sold. The counter can only be reached via a large staircase, so it's best to call in advance. Once you've overcome the "cliffs", it's still nice. Allow enough time so that you can do everything in peace.
