The Aa Forest is located in Zemst-Laar, a village in the western part of the municipality of Zemst. The forest is owned by Waterwegen en Zeekanaal (Waterways and Sea Canal) and is situated near the Brussels-Scheldt Sea Canal. It is protected by European law as part of the Natura 2000 area "Forests of the Southeastern Sandy Loam Region." The Aa Forest is adjacent to the Kollinten.
