From Flonheim it goes a little steeply up through the Aulheimer valley towards Alzey Heimersheim. There is a rest stop on the way at the weekend where you can fortify yourself. In bad weather there is almost a beautiful larger hut that invites you to take shelter, of course you can also have protection from the sun in summer.

The Hiwweltour Aulheimer Tal is a 13.3 km long circular hiking trail near Flonheim in Rhineland-Palatinate, certified by the German Hiking Institute. The path leads through the Aulheimer Tälchen nature reserve. In addition to the official starting point at the parking lot at the Adelberghalle in Flonheim, the hike can also be started at the Geistermühle and in the towns of Bornheim and Lonsheim. The path is one of the so-called "Hiwweltouren", which, in addition to the Rheinterrassenweg and various themed hiking trails, are part of the hiking trails in Rheinhessen.
