The Waldwipfelweg Sankt Englmar offers besides the "Wipfel der Gefühle" also the "Haus am Kopf" where everything, including furnishings, is upside down. The operators probably like to have breakfast with a clown. The view over the mountain ranges of the Bavarian Forest, the Danube Valley and the Gäuboden plains from the up to 30m high path made of local larch wood is impressive. There is also a nature trail and in winter a Christmas market.
Opening hours: all year round, April to October 9am to 7pm, November to March 9am to 4pm
Admission: adults 7,50 €, children (7 to 17 years) 5 €
The house on the head is really interesting. Although you know where it is up and down, the brain plays a joke on you. Immediately on entering you stagger against the wall and on the stairs, probably everyone is stuck. Just try it, even if it costs a few extra euros.
