Hiking Highlight (Segment)

Large waterfalls, blue pools, deep gorges - the Leutasch Spirit Gorge will delight children of all ages. This is ensured not least by the two impressive bridges over the gorge.
The gorge is comparatively steep. A total of three paths lead into it: The most spectacular is the Wasserfallsteig, which is only open in the warm summer months. Koboldpfad and Klammgeistweg can be walked all year round.
The Klammgeistweg is 3,000 meters long and takes about one and a half hours. The goblin path is 1,900 meters long and takes about an hour to complete. The waterfall trail: measures 400 meters and takes only 20 minutes. Admission costs 2 euros for adults and half for children. The parking lot in Leutasch is chargeable (5 euros).

With dog only conditionally recommendable, since the "way" (above) along the gorge has only grid floor (stairs included, only the bridges have closed ground). We put booties on our dog so he could walk most of the way on his own - but he did manage to get over it ... and he was happy to have forest floor under his paws again;)
Incidentally, the path is a real highlight with children: There are always information boards with child-friendly explanations of funny "goblins" or small stations that invite you to take an active part. We also found it interesting as an adult :)

One of the most beautiful bracing experiences in the region. Also great for kids. The stories about goblins and ghosts keep kids hooked. The views into the gorge are fantastic.

This new way is completely built as a secured lattice way in the upper area of the Leutaschklamm. Several stations offer special experiences such as horns, a wind chime, a mirror, with which one can generate light reflections in the gorge, a gong as well as panels with explanations of the gorge and its history. Also a hidden gorge spirit can be discovered there.

Since it can be a great eight run including double border crossing. Really nice laid out in great scenery. And in the end against a small obulus before the waterfall. To round off the whole number, of course, we jumped three meters deep into the ice-cold water. That was certainly not allowed, but we were back across the border.
Goes well with small and with big children. Even my 18 year olds loved it. And there is so much to experience. Everything lovingly designed.

You have to distinguish, between the ghost gorge, which can be traveled further up high above the Leutasch on metal lattice bars for free and the Wasserfallsteig, which leads on wooden jetties only a short distance into the lower gorge up to the waterfall and is paid well with 3 €. Overall, the Leutaschklamm but certainly worth seeing!

The Leutasch gorge is definitely worth a visit.
Many interesting views - footbridges, bridges and deep gorges. Also possible with children.
However, the grid floors of some bars are not for dogs or people who are easily dizzy.

This gorge is worth a detour. Especially the footbridges offer a breathtaking view. But is certainly very getting used to for people with vertigo ...
