The parking lot in Leutasch is not exactly cheap with 5 euros, but the entry from here into the ghost gorge is completely free. On good paths and spectacular footbridges, you follow the gorge down to the valley, crossing the German-Austrian border. On German soil is the paid entry to the waterfall path, during our visit in winter, however, was closed.

The Leutaschklamm near the Austrian border is in itself an impressive natural spectacle. A total of three paths lead into it, the most spectacular of which is the Wasserfallsteig, which is only open in the warm summer months. As you walk over the 130-year-old boardwalk, the masses of water rush by. At the end of the gorge there is the 23 meter high and again impressive waterfall.

    Wasserfallsteig: 400 meters, approx. 20 minutes, Admission: adults 2 €, children 1 €

The parking lot in Leutasch is chargeable (5 €).

Meanwhile the entrance to the waterfall is 3 € per person (2017)
If you park in Mittenwald near the Rewe-Markt it only costs 3 € for the maximum parking time of 3 hours.

Waterfalls, gorges, footbridges - very big cinema and then you have not even been in the chargeable part. But it is definitely worth it!

The Leutasch gorge can be explored in several ways - not all are chargeable.
    But worthwhile in any case!

You should definitely order a schnitzel and eat there. They are still knocked flat, you can hear it, if you sit on the terrace. Brilliant, as formerly with grandma .......

We recommend! If you are looking for a free parking space for the whole day, you will find it at the station Mittenwald. Many other parking costs and are valid only up to max. 3h

Here the water is almost turquoise. And at the very back by the waterfall it gets loud. Very nice to walk.

We had a dog on the trail, which unfortunately we had to carry 25 minutes. Unfortunately, no dog track and only open grids with a view into the depth, as well as many open lattice stairs. Our dog does everything else, but he really could not walk on it ....... you have to know if you want to take a dog with you.

Trout from clean mountain streams are a real delicacy! The cold water makes them grow slowly, making them all the more delicious.

The oldest developed trail in the Leutaschklamm is the Wasserfallsteig. There are wooden planks just a few meters above the water about 200 meters in the Leutaschklamm. Worth seeing.

Incredibly impressive - we were there at the end of spring. Walking to the waterfall while you can feel the deep thrum of it in the bridge and handrails is pretty cool.
