At the castle gate of the former Waldstein Fortress there is an oval boulder with deep holes in it. According to legend, the devil played cards with goblins and ghosts, they were made of iron. However, what is more real is that the holes originate from a kind of pavilion that was removed in the 19th century. The only evidence of this can be found in a work by the engraver Gerd Könitzer.

They hit the plate so violently with the bronze cards that the cards clinked and sparked. Today you can still see the impressions of the iron maps on the rock slab.
