A nice idyllic resting place for a little rest. Despite the name "Gesundbrunnen" you have to bring something to drink 😇

Bad Bramstedt's first healing spring was discovered here in 1681 and is thus the origin of the spa town of Bad Bramstedt. Over the course of the century, the first source dried up and was only rediscovered in 1761.

Another source was found close to the first in 1879; it became the origin of the old Kurhaus. The attached bathhouse was named after the discoverer of the source: Matthias-Heesch-Bad. In 1929, Oskar Alexander founded the still existing Rheumatology Clinic Bad Bramstedt. It became one of the largest and most modern rheumatism clinics in Europe.

In 1999 this square was redesigned to illustrate an important piece of local history.

In 2013, the Gesundbrunnen was completely renovated using bvv funds.

    Nice place for a break.
