Hiking

From the Hohe Strasse you can see the roofs of the Marienborn manor, a place steeped in history. Hessen. It can be proven that there was first a Cistercian monastery in 1261, in 1673 where Count Karl-August von Ysenburg built a castle based on the French model. In 1736, Marienborn Castle became the center of the Herrnhut brothers' community, which Goethe visited in 1769. The visit is mentioned in "Poetry and Truth". The castle was demolished in 1889, and the courtyard is now teaching and experimental material for business research in agricultural science. (Source gut-marienborn.de)
