On a hill near Alkersdorf is the so-called "old grave", according to Karl Lukan the most important megalithic stone monument in Austria. The stone building is located on the so-called "Blaselkogel". The Kogel got its current name from a previous landowner, before that the hill was called "Rauhenpuchel". The stone monument was rediscovered around 1850 by the geographer Anton Becker († 1955). At that time, four man-made terraces could still be seen on the northeast side of the hill, today you can only see two of them.
[Info: according to K. Lukan and the notice posted on site]A place of worship was built on the now wooded elevation of the hill from several tons of conglomerate blocks: an approximately 1.5 m high, almost round block was placed on a base of several larger stone blocks. For this purpose, the base stones were smoothed and partially notched. In addition, the capstone was supported with a few slotted stone wedges. So between the base stones there is a small tunnel to slip through - an indication of the so-called creep-through cult.

In Alkersdorf on the Blasekogel is probably the most important artificial stone monument in Austria, the so-called “Old Grave”. The Kogel gets its current name from a landowner from the 19th century. It used to be called “Rauhenpuchel”. Rauhenbühel Who doesn't think of the rough nights and evil spirits?Source: hernstein.gv.at/Steindenkmal_Altes_Grab_
