The hiking trail leads along the narrow ridge. You walk in the shady forest but there are several views on both sides. The dismantling was stopped in time by a referendum before the mountain would have disappeared. A double protective fence prevents access to the high edge. In the meantime, a biotope with a pond has developed in the quarry.

Hiking

The Hörnle was once a hard-fought mountain and was to be dismantled for cement production. The mountain was saved by massive resistance, mainly by the fruit-growing population. Many thanks to the citizens of Dettinger.
