Cycling

Here time seems to have stood still. At the platform is a nearly 100-year-old steam locomotive with antique wooden train cars. The conductor gives the signal with his pipe, the heater throws a few more coals on the fire and as soon as the train driver pulls on the regulator, the locomotive sets in motion, panting and hissing. She does not drive fast. It is a real "slow train".

The steam train that runs along the Valkenburgse Meer starts from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm every hour on the hour. One trip takes 30 minutes.
