Hiking

The monastery was founded in the 12th century as a Benedictine convent and dissolved in 1806. All of the monastery's buildings are now listed as historical monuments. Directly adjacent to the monastery is the Urspring karst spring, a source of the Blau River. Unfortunately, there is no beer garden or restaurant here. Today, some of the buildings are used as a boarding school.
