The Brockenbahn is the only narrow-gauge railway in Germany that has its terminus on a summit with an alpine climate. For 41 euros, she brings lazy and romantic railroaders up and down again. A route is available for 26 euros.

You will inevitably stop, be happy and quickly dodge your camera or smartphone to take a nice picture of the locomotive!
Even waving is allowed and there is even waving back .. nice photo, nice people - good mood ;-)

The Brockenbahn is a predominantly tourist used, meterspurige railway line of the Harz narrow gauge railways (HSB). It leads from Drei Annen Hohne on the Harzquerbahn over Schierke on the Brocken. A highlight, if you meet someone - great atmosphere!

The Harz narrow-gauge railway is a must - not only for railway enthusiasts. The trip up to the Brocken in the Harz Mountains is something very extraordinary and highly recommended. Big and none have their fun at the same time!

The Brocken train is always a must when you're on the way. We prefer to run alongside as with her because the nature is more beautiful on foot and on paws ...

The Brockenbahn is one of the Harz narrow-gauge railways as well as the Harzquerbahn and the Selketalbahn. Under hsb-wr.de you can see the timetables and also get their current changes and information on special trips.

The snorting monster .... no, nice that the steam locomotive is still here even if the smoke makes the exhaust gas scandal seem a little questionable in the cars ;-)

More important hiking trail junction as a railway station. I am not aware that there has ever been a train for boarding and boarding. So do not let it irritate, the train goes from Schierke through to the summit.

Some find the drive overpriced. Anyway, no matter where you go on the chunk, you pay the same price. Always an experience when you see the train passing by as a pedestrian.

For most hikers the first breather after the more or less strenuous climb. Various small stone projections and the width of this place invite you to take a break.

The HSB locomotive is regularly reassigned to the top of the tracks. A nice spectacle.

You pass the Goethebahnhof from the west on the way to the summit. Here you can also hear and see the Brockenbahn for the first time. A few meters further you will have first fantastic views over to Torfhaus deep into the West Harz. Maybe you can say what the seating at Goethebahnhof looks like?

If you are not good on foot, you can climb the summit with the Brockenbahn. Always fascinating the old steam locomotives.

The Brockenbahn is a mainly touristically used railway line of the Harz Narrow Gauge Railways (HSB). It leads from Drei Annen Hohne at the Harzquerbahn over Schierke on the Brocken.
The track is steam-powered, and its steam pipes, which can be heard far through the forest, make up the special background noise of every hump.
