The Schindelkopf can be reached via wonderful forest paths. The Köte Schindelkopf stands at about 550 m on its north-west flank. Here was never charcoal burned, the hut is only a replica and serves as a hiker's hut. There is the stamp office 147 of the Harzer hiking nobility.

A tour to the Schindelkopf Köte is always worthwhile 😉 If you drive up the mountain about 150 meters further, you have a great view of the valley towards Osterode. Unfortunately, this view was only made possible by the bark beetle.
